Adult Students Have a New Outlet for Creative Expression

PRNewswire-- The Art Institute of Atlanta will launch an Evening and Weekend Option for several of its comprehensive, career-focused bachelor's and associate degree programs in the fall quarter starting October 6, 2008. The new option is designed to provide working adults who cannot attend class during traditional business hours the opportunity to complete their education through a combination of evening, weekend, and online courses.

The Art Institute of Atlanta will offer bachelor's and associate's degree programs in culinary arts, graphic design, and Web design & interactive media in the Evening and Weekend Option. In addition, The Art Institute of Atlanta will offer an Evening and Weekend Option for its bachelor's degree in interior design.

"We meet many potential students who are trying to find a way to balance working and going to school," says Dr. Sally Parsonson, dean of academic affairs at The Art Institute of Atlanta. Janet S. Day, president of The Art Institute of Atlanta, adds, "The Evening and Weekend Option provides excellent education choices for working adults, allowing them to pursue their passion for a creative career in a convenient time frame and schedule that fits their busy lives."

At the time of registration, students will be advised of the classes that will be offered online in their program. Students will have the option of taking any online courses on-ground at the college, if available. Students will take a minimum of two on-ground courses each quarter. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
